Emotional Tributes by Amaka Igwe’s Husband and Children as She is Buried

Nollywood producer/director Amaka Igwe was buried in her marital home town of Ndiuche Arondizuogu in Imo State on Saturday 14th June 2014. Everyone struggled to hold back their tears especially her young children, the oldest is her 19 years old daughter.

Amaka Igwe was 51 years old when she passed, may her soul continue to rest in peace.

A special Service of Songs and Tribute Night was held on Monday in honour of Nollywood icon/producer, Amaka Igwe, who passed away on the 29th of April 2014. Family, friends, colleagues and Nollywood practitioners, gathered for the event.

Obituary - Amaka Igwe Passes On After Asthma Attack

Amaka Igwe, one of the most prominent figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry, a producer, writer, director and mentor, died April 28th in Enugu after an asthma attack. Amaka Igwe had gone to Enugu in company of her husband for pre-production preparations for a new Igbo soap when she suffered the asthma attack. First aid was given but failed to revive her, and she died before they could get to the hospital. Amaka Igwe is survived by her husband of 21 years Charles Igwe, three children, an aged mother.
